Growing up, my sister and I were never close. It was when I entered college that we started opening up with each other. I usually share stories of what college feels like and she usually share stories of her achievements or random stuff about school. As time passes by, she became not just my sister or my best friend rather, she became my “person.”
She is my food buddy.
Well, it is more of I cook and she eats type of situation.
But yeah, we both enjoy eating outside or even at home. Eating with her is not a “you choose” or “it’s up to you” situation because we both know our likes and dislikes so it is easier for us to choose a restaurant that we’ll both appreciate.
She is my frenemy.
Mood swings, PMS-ing. It is normal to us.
Our relationship as sisters is not perfect. There will always come a time when one of us is not in the mood. We will either fight, or not talk at all. But on the brighter side, once we are already in a better mood we’ll talk to each other like nothing happened!
She is my personal diary.
“Ugh, why do they have to do that? >.<” – That’s our usual convo.
We talk and share almost everything. I send her pictures of what I cook, rant about petty stuff and vice versa. I actually don’t have to worry if she’ll share it to others because I know she wouldn’t.
She is my personal adviser.
“That doesn’t look good on you.” Unfortunately, she said that phrase to me a bazillion times already.
With my sister, I don’t have to be awkward. I could ask anything under the sun and she’ll give me one heck of an honest answer/advice.
She is my number 1 fan.
I remember the time when I told her that I started blogging. “REALLY?!?! Where’s the link? I wanna see!” She’s my first viewer. (Almost) Everyday, she’ll check my blog and will message me if I publish something intriguing to her.
I love how she is so supportive of the things that I do. She is always there in every accomplishment. She pushes me to go and achieve my dreams. I thank her for that.
She is one of the people I know that won’t leave my side.
When life is your enemy, you know that you can count on to your sister.
I could open up and tell her problems. And I know that she’ll just listen and will not judge me and my actions. She’ll just be there. She’ll never leave.
Above all, she is family.
Family is family. Nothing can change that. We may not live in the same roof anymore but we have this special bond that will keep us glued together whatever happens. I love her and I’ll do anything for her because she is family.
