The Power of Doing Good

Nowadays not so many people are doing good. Apathy and negligence are taking a good deal of followers. Not to mention egoism – the root of all evil for me. This quality has grown considerably in people. It is being revealed on daily basis and it’s effect is essentially detrimental.

So I was thinking – Why is doing good so important?

1. You are inspiring others to do the same and others are inspiring other people as well. It is impossible to estimate just how big of an impact your random act of kindness can have, not only on your city, but also on the whole world. It can change it!

2. You are creating a better world. Being born on this planet with certain people I can’t see a greater purpose in my life rather than improving the planet’s condition and our mutual lives. I also fail to see how being self-centered and closed to the true beauty of our world has even the tiniest deal of meaning.

3. Happiness is tightly connected to it. There is nothing more beautiful than showing compassion and kindness when and where it’s necessary. For me, there is nothing more satisfying too. When you bring happiness to other people you can’t help yourself but feel happy too!

In conclusion, there is a lot of evil around the world but there is a lot of good too! We must remember that bad things are here to teach us to appreciate good things. It’s Christmas time, the world is at peace and every light in every graciously decorated house is a proof that the power of good is well beyond the power of bad!

Hi there, great article! I feel like we could do so much good together if we were hanging out as friends in the real world.

To add to your post, I’d also like to say that forgiveness and letting go is so incredibly important in our lives. We need to do that in order for us to be happy. Here’s my blog about forgiveness and letting go!

Cool article! I like the thought of “doing unto others, as you would have them do unto you” as well. We all want to be treated good so we should do the same. Check out my leadership blog.

The difficulty is doing good all year around! A challenge for all. There a price to pay but it’s worth it.
So, I wrote a book to warn students about gangs called, ‘What If I Go? It was traumatic holding my protagonist’s hand. There’s a warning, its not for the faint hearted but it’s real. On World Book Day why don’t you try reading it and pass the message on, please?

This is so good. Sometimes it feels like it’s not worth it when people don’t give back. Thanks for the encouragement.

It is an amazing power. We all should do something really great or normal work to make this world better.

If you cannot run then walk.
