Shame is a soul eating emotion. – C.G. Jung

At some point in time in our lives, we all have done something we are not proud of, so here are 5 quick thoughts and ways to deal with it.

  1. Always remember, no one is perfect.
  2. Don’t scream (or shout) at people making fun of you. It’ll only make the problem worse because now they’ll start teasing you all the more.
  3. No amount of shame can change your past.
  4. Learn a lesson from your past mistake and move on.
  5. If your shameful feelings are debilitating, consult a professional therapist.

This might help, how others think of us does not determine our self worth, then it’s not shame anymore.

Good one! I feel that point number 2 is really important. Accept your mistake and simply move on without reacting.

This is a well thought out article-great work. I would add one however -accept that you have done something wrong and accept the shame, until you do its almost impossible to move on from the feeling
