Hey everyone!

It’s 1 am here and I found myself writing this. A rather short post about my erratic nature.

I’ve always been a fan of the night. A dark, mysterious, cold, an exact replica, a mirror of the morning, silent and serene.

Have you ever tried walking in the middle of the night? Amongst the dead of silence and the sounds of nightly creatures. Just go out, maybe with a tune in your head, a sweater, and a bat probably, just to scare away your rudimentary scary dogs.

The animals are so calm, the dogs are laying down everywhere, the cats are purring in joy, sleeping of the cold of concrete and the heat of their body. Or if they’re lucky, the heat of their person. The lights are beautiful, artificial or not. The aching light, struggling, flickering to continue shining a small beacon.

Can you feel it? How the wind sings the songs of a lullaby? Or how your steps are the only friends you have, not even the shadows are around.

A completely different time, moment, era, and universe.

Have you ever had the feeling of not being the right person, in the right place? It’s not about time nor placement. It’s just a place where you are. It’s place out of time, accompanying drifters of the current.

We’re too busy with our lives to see the beauty in the opposite of it.

A battle between the light and the darkness?

Rather than standing under a false light, I’d rather be lost in the darkness of my own, at least I have the stars of yesterday to guide me.

  2. I love the completeness of darkness. Light will always cast shade but darkness envelops all and when in a forest or simply on a beach, the sounds of nature allow you to paint vivid pictures of all you cannot see.

It is amazing how comforting the dark can be. When it is dark it is my time. I’m the only one awake so I enjoy the silence of it.

Darkness is scary sometimes but you get an awesome site of the full moon that’s the best part of the night especially when you’re in the desert
