Social media can be a person’s best friend when it comes to running a business or being an “influencer” and receiving product from companies. There are hundreds of millions of social media users and a handful of social media platforms- and in all reality, you may not have a great following. Here are a few tips that can help you change that and become noticeable on the web.
1. Pick Your Platform
It is great for you to use all platforms, but Facebook is much different than Instagram. Pick which one you want to use and focus strongly on that one specific platform.
2. Ask Questions On Your Posts
If you are not asking questions on your posts, you will never receive much of an engagement. If you ask questions, it will help you better gauge how many of your followers actually read and care about what you do. If you see no response to your questions, it’s time to switch things up.
3. Run Giveaways
If you are a company, run a giveaway and require that everyone must follow you and tag 3 people. If you are just a normal person, or an influencer, find a company that would do a giveaway on your page and require the same requirements and that the follow the company.
4. Find Where Your Audience Is Coming From
You must know where your audience is coming from. If you are on Instagram, modify your page to a business page and you will see daily and even hourly insights. If you have a website, use Google Analytics. If you are on Facebook, it is easy to see where the persons are from that are engaging in your posts.
5. Provide Quality Posts
If you are on Instagram and your posts are 90% low quality selfies, you will likely never see a large engagement (unless you are a Kardashian). Post something that will strike interest in the human eye and mind.
If you do all of these five things and execute them well, you will see a large increase on your platforms. Hashtags are great, but they won’t be needed if you are providing beneficial content. Aim for that and you will see incredible results.
