He was perfectly strange, this stranger was. He was smart and elegant and courteous. He was different and complementary. We fit like jigsaw puzzle pieces. This stranger was perfect until I came to know him. But that’s what perfection is, isn’t it? It is picturesque and Hollywood until we begin to examine it. Like all models, it is bright and seductive, but when we finally gather the courage to look closely, we begin to see its pores and blemishes. Quick to judge, we assume either the worst or absolute perfection and that vision crowds our perception.

The Water Beyond the Leap (2 min read)

A salmon in the river swam steadily upstream and regressed, then again, swam steady then regressed. The water resisted as he swam against it,but propelled him effortlessly as he regressed back downstream. He swam forward eight feet then retreated five. As he advanced, the water around him began to whir as all the other salmon swam head on towards the nearing waterfall. The rocks towered the water high and caused it to fall with such brute force. He watched the other salmon as they disappeared right above the blurry water fizz.

When one pictures creativity the stereotype is often an artist or writer. Though these professions have creativity in common, they aren’t the only ones who can take advantage of this skill (pay special note to skill, rather than talent). People in business, lawyers, mathematicians, scientists, doctors and many others can reap the major benefits of creativity. After all, creativity is simply the ability to think outside of the box, and the ability to combine dissimilar thoughts. When expressed this way, the inherent importance of creativity is near-palpable. This article serves as a guide to deepening, or even jump-starting, your creativity.

2 Quick Tips For Writing ‘How to’ Guides (1 min read)

If writing how-to blog posts is something you write about for your Readers, than here’s 2 quick tips that will get your Readers to remember them every time!

1. Solve a problem or fill a specific need for your audience: Detailed how-to guides are only helpful if they actually solve a real problem for your audience. For example, if your audience consists of solo-entrepreneurs who have been in business for 5+ years, a tutorial on setting up WordPress is probably not going to help them much, but a tutorial on how they can build additional passive income through multiple streams really speaks to them in a whole new perspective.

51u21uWfrQL._SL250_This book is all about survival techniques and basic preparing methods to survive tricky situations. I think it is a great book for people that travel a lot or are planning to travel to places that there may be circumstances where you really get stuck. I think it’s a very useful book to have and to even keep in the trunk of your car. The only recommendation I would have is to make it longer and more thorough. I would have liked to read more and to learn more about the subject matter. I particularly like the part where it even tells you how to make your home secure. For someone living in Canada, where people don’t even lock their doors, I think this would be a “must buy”.
