Belief is a feeling that something exists or is true. Belief is a key to successful life, because only when you start believing in what you do and consider it as right, you tend to lead a happy and contented life. But most of us fail in this process of believing. This may happen due to lack of confidence or a low self esteem. A year ago, I was also categorized as a person with low self esteem.

“Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.” – Albert Schweitzer

There are 5 types of people in the world:

1. Those who do not know what they want in life, and do nothing about it.

2. Those who know what they want in life, but don’t know what to do to achieve it.

There is nothing on this planet that I dislike more than the lump of scared in my chest when there is a situation I can do nothing about. I don’t mean that “The bakery ran out of my favorite bagel!” scared. I’m talking about “What does my life even mean?!” kind of scared.

Start a Revolution, Stop Body Shaming! (1 min read)

So it’s been a while. I haven’t really had the chance to sit down and write everything that was coming into my mind. But I realized that there’s this one topic that is kind of taking over the internet. It recently became a topic of discussion on  one of my Whatsapp groups and I thought to myself that so many problems could’ve been solved a long time ago if we simply just talked about them. I was asked for my input by an Illustrator and Visual Artist who was writing about body shaming. I gave her my input and I also got a chance to read what other people had sent to her and that’s when I realized that most of us have faced this in life but we probably never talked about it. So many of us have constantly been told that we need to get on a diet, or maybe take some growth medication to grow taller. What got to me the most was when someone wrote how much she loved wearing heels but she had to stop wearing them because whenever she did, she was told that she’s as tall as a street light and she shouldn’t wear heels. I have seen in front of me, a girl labelled according to her size at her University’s Graduation Party and because it was in front of a huge crowd, it really put her down and she stopped eating. So if you’re reading this you’ve ever pointed someone’s weakness whether intentionally or unintentionally, please realize that anything can happen to anyone at any time and you never know, you might have to go through something similar some day. That’s why look beyond the standards of beauty set by the social media and embrace different kinds of beauty.

If you’ve ever been let down for your weakness, let me tell you that God made you and God doesn’t make mistakes. You’re a masterpiece and you deserve love, care and respect. You have a beautiful heart and that’s something that nothing can beat. Never let anyone bring you down. Once you’re confident with your own structure anything that anyone says can never hurt you because you love yourself.

We don’t realize that we consciously or unconsciously point out another person’s weakness in our effort to help the other person. The only way to help another person is to make them feel comfortable in their own skin and their own body frame because beauty comes in all colors, sizes and shapes. It’s never too late. Let’s join hands to put an end to body shaming. Start from your own home, stop nagging your own siblings, stop making fun of that one friend who’s overweight, stop taunting someone at the gym who’s thin and is working to build muscle and just simply stop criticizing someone for something they can’t control. Lets make this world a better place to live in!

Time is a common denominator to every life. And it can tell to a large extent, what we do with our lives. That’s why folks say “a fool at forty,” (some say fourteen) “…is a fool forever!” I guess the point they are trying to make is that your life is meaningless if you remain…unproductive at a certain age. Man is an expressive being; created to ‘do something,’ especially in his youth, when he is still physically and mentally strong to face oppositions. Timing is critical to existence.

Hello everyone!

How are you all doing? I hope you are all having a fantastic day/evening. The Olympics are in full session now and I have been watching daily the various qualifying and medal sessions. I love the Olympics and I am obviously rooting for team GB to do well and so well they have performed fantastically. Every four years I look forward to the summer Olympics and watching all the countries compete in various events. I find it so captivating to watch someone perform and compete in something they are so passionate about and have trained hard for over the past four years.

Things work out perfectly sometimes.

Like when you arrive at the platform just as your train is pulling into the station. Or when you’ve got the exact right amount of change in your pocket for the parking meter. Or when you’re standing in line at the grocery store and you meet your future husband.
