Let’s run away, I might sound crazy and we might not have a place to stay, but let’s just run away.
I want to see the deserts in California, I wanna see the buildings in New York,
I want to drink coffee in a small cozy coffee shop filled with calming music as I flip through the map looking for my next destination. I want to stand in Times Square and feel the cold breeze as it collides with my skin sending chills down my spine. Continue reading Runaway… (1 min read)

Step onto the cracks beneath your feet,
Watch the ground on which you stand split into two.
Falling through, you reach for a hand,
You get a grasp of nothingness, a grasp of loneliness
A hint of sadness and you start to break. Continue reading Falling |A Poem (1 min read)

What’s got into us to lose track of time, to lose our ability to let it go and building up frustration and a pile of stress?  Because we feel pushed to. Unconsciously or consciously we are under the impression that what we are doing is not sufficient or enough and it couldn’t be more wrong. Every day I am learning more about myself, to build up a relationship with others but more importantly to define what I want from these relationships. Continue reading What is Respect Nowadays? It is our concept of normal, which restricts and constricts us.

And there are so many versions of ‘being normal’, that one never gets around to being totally acceptable. Yet, parents, teachers, and priests keep struggling to propagate their own concepts of acceptable behavior.  Excellence is deemed to lie in reproducing published answers from a scripture or book, not raising questions. Through the mist, through the cloud
came so silently, yet so loud.
Striking the ocean, reflecting so bright
emerged a ray, called sunlight!
Sparkling our eyes, brightening our day
falling at the mountains and the beautiful bay.
Exclusively from heaven, came this unbiased ray
which teaches us a lesson in its own way. Continue reading Let Us Become Sunlight! (1 min read)

“So much has been said and sung of beautiful young girls, why don’t somebody wake up to the beauty of old women?”-  Harriet Beecher Stowe

An interesting quote that seems to parallel the feelings of women today. Maybe men too!

Harriet Beecher Stowe, an author, and social activist,  also authored Uncle Tom’s Cabin. She was born June 14, 1811, and died on July 1, 1896.

Uncle Tom’s Cabin was published as a book and quickly became a best seller. Harriet’s portrayal of the impact of slavery on children and families set the stage for emotional unrest. While the book was accepted in the North, it created hostility in the South.

My thoughts on Harriet Beecher Stowe’s quote –

I look in the mirror and what do I see? Young and beautiful, yes that’s me. Lovely words said, beautiful songs sung, about me.

I look in the mirror and what do I see? Old and beautiful, yes that’s me. Lovely words said, beautiful songs sung, about me…

But where are the words? Where are the songs, where can they be? Can’t you see, I am still me?

Wake up you fools, you critical old fools. Look in my mirror and what do you see? Young or old, I’m beautiful you see. Lovely words said, beautiful songs sung, about me. Yes, about me! Yes, that’s me, you’ll see.

Mirror, mirror on the wall, please heed my beckoning call. Old and beautiful, yes that’s me. But, am I still the fairest of them all?

Cheers!
