If we were having coffee right now, I would tell you how much I need to take a trip to anywhere. And how I want to be somewhere with statuesque trees filled with birds and bees. Birds building new homes on the strongest of branches creating a safe haven for their family.  Honey bees, flit from flower to flower getting their nectar. Birds of song chirping in acapella; honey bees buzzing in harmony creating a symphony like none I have ever heard.

Where do you blog? Is it quiet and secluded or IS IT LOUD and open, with not a hint of privacy?

Hmmm, a blogger that prefers silence – one that has the perfect setting for his or her space. Perhaps, the lighting is subdued and the space is a cozy nook. Your knees are the prop for a plushy pillow that serves as a table for your laptop.

Your phone rings and I am referring to the tool that is the welcome mat to your business. Do you remember it? It usually sits on a desk and is opening the door to welcome callers to your business. Its role is to assist the caller as deemed appropriate. In other words, handle their request or channel the caller in the right direction. This is your business and first impressions linger. You already know that, don’t you?

You need to get a grip. You can start by taking it one step at a time. If things in your life seem overwhelming, take small steps toward making your life more manageable.

Understand and trust yourself. Know who you are and what you are capable of. There will be hurdles and there will be ways to resolve. The path you have chosen has a purpose, whether good or bad. Be happy if you chose the right path. Be determined to resolve if you chose the wrong path.

Do you write for yourself? Do you write for others? Do you write to write? Do you write about writing? You know, I see these questions often intertwined in posts with listicles offering advice for those of us that like to write. My intent is not to address the Why, What, When, Who and How of writing. My intent is to entertain what transpires after our post publishes for all the world to see.

I am enjoying the outside, while sitting on the back porch. My favorite shade tree is laden with huge lime green leaves which illuminates the tree with a haloing effect. This glow is so significant of summer; everything is bright and sunny.  The landscapers are mowing the grass, which I love the smell of fresh mowed grass. Somehow, I feel in touch with nature and recall how I longed for summer to be near, and now it’s here.

“The most common way people give up their power
is by thinking they don’t have any.”
Alice Walker

I find this quote by Alice Walker quite thought-provoking, as well as a wake up call. I am sharing the quote along with my thoughts.

“You’re only here for a short visit. Don’t hurry, don’t worry. And be sure to smell the flowers along the way.”― Walter Hagen

What if you met Walter Hagen and he said “You’re only here for a short visit. Don’t hurry, don’t worry. And be sure to smell the flowers along the way.” Would you take the time to listen?

There is a magnificent tree outside our back porch.  It’s dressed beautifully for summer in limey green leaves, providing shade and comfort from the hot sun. I adore sitting on my back porch and enjoy the mornings with my friend, the tree. As I sip my coffee, I feel in touch with the beauty of nature and her many offerings that come with each day.
