Life is full of ups and downs and twists and turns. Extreme feelings of self-worth followed by equal feelings of self-destruction. How much stress can one human carry around with them? The day to day emotional fatigue can only be endured for so long. To ground ourselves to a point of sheer happiness and hope for the days ahead there are several things that we need to let go of once and for all.

As we let these negativities go we find that we can finally be the people we have always wanted to be. We see clearly. Things start to fall into place for us. We take chances, speak up, breathe deeply, laugh often, motivate one another, go after our dreams, and for this the universe rewards us.

The following are 7 things we must all let go of in 2017 to attain this place in life:

  1. Let go of the feeling of being broken. Our past does not define our present. Tomorrow is always a clean slate. Every sunrise gives us a reason to start fresh.
  2. Let go of constantly comparing ourselves to others. We as humans are meant to shine in our own way. Everyone is fighting their own battle and everyone is their own kind of beautiful.
  3. Let go of second guessing our decisions. We are where we need to be and we are moving ahead with every day that passes.
  4. Let go of dissecting ourselves. Our flaws make us radiant. Our curves make us unique. Lets love who we see in the mirror because we only get one shot at this.
  5. Let go of pointing fingers. We must be accountable for our own actions so we can learn and grow.
  6. Let go of negative thinking. Negative thoughts manifest into negative things. Start each day with a positive mindset and end each night with a grateful heart.
  7. Let go of ill feelings towards others. Everyone is searching for the same things in this life. We all just want to be happy. Keep those individuals in the past and wish the best for them.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It’s not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
