Do you like to write? Want to see a creation go from small to huge? Ever wondered what a way to self-discipline yourself is? Journal happens to be a very effective way towards a better lifestyle and can help in so many ways in life.

It relieves stress. When someone happens to have a bad day and doesn’t know how to relieve the stress within, they just go get their pen or pencil while getting a journal to write in and starts to write. As someone journals, they let all of their stress out of their mind to words on paper. It’s like taking a break from the everyday life we all currently live in that may seem inescapable but it really isn’t.

It gives a new opportunity for change. When opportunities run out in life, journaling never ends since there are endless concepts to talk about. Sometimes a thought can come to someones mind while they journal and in rare cases that thought can open the door to something that would be beneficial for someone.

It adds up. The more someone journals, the bigger the lifespan of the process of journaling gets. For example, when someone starts at page 1 in the journal and keeps going, they eventually get up to page 164 and look back at all they’ve written inside the journal. Looking back happens to be awesome because if you were to keep going no matter what happens in life, something remarkable can happen, even if it were to turn into the next bestselling book.

It’s a mental workout for your mind. Just like going to the gym, journaling can seriously give your mind a workout, even if someone were to be writing gibberish or random thoughts down. The motion of the pen or pencil moving is physical exercise but when the mind is processing information to be written, that is the exercise right there. Only thing that’s different about this is that it’s all mental so no need to be sweating like there’s no tomorrow there!

So what are you waiting for? Go grab a pen or pencil, get some paper or a notebook, and start writing down as many thoughts as you can think of that has happened to you during a certain period of time!

    This is so true and unfortunately, I fell out of the good habit some time back. I feel sadder about it now. In addition to the above mentioned reasons, I feel, writing a journal gives you a good friend, whom you can confide in. This documentation also relieves you of stress, makes you feel lighter. And, from observation I can tell, it makes your articulation better too ..
