4 Ways to Help You Stay More Organized

1. Plan.

In order to plan you want to dedicate a short but productive set of time to strategize, delegate and divide tasks. In addition, try to prioritize all your tasks and tackle them consecutively — don’t toggle back and forth.

Create a list of the things in order that are most important to you by starting at the top and working your way down (one by one). Maintaining focus will help increase your efficiency, while multi-tasking can quickly decrease your productivity.

2. Consider the time.

Alright, so we all know Monday is Monday for everyone. People are grumpy, tired and are probably also using the day to plan out their weeks, just like you are. Potential clients and customers are catching up and digging themselves out of piles of emails.

Don’t send emails at 9 am or they might not ever get seen. Line up all your emails to be sent Monday evening or Tuesday morning.

3. Achieve one big task.

Try to get something done that you’ve been putting off for a while, or focus on something that will have an instrumental impact on your business that week.

Read: Struggle to Stay on Task…? Here’s How to Fix That.

Aim to tackle and complete your top most important thing on your to-do list. You have the benefit of fewer distractions while others get back into the grind, and you’ll feel more accomplished and productive moving into the rest of the week.

4. Remember to Stay relaxed.

Returning from a weekend off can be a shock to the body and brain. Start your day off right by doing something quick that brings joy or good in your life. Practice a few routines to keep your Mondays in check.

If working out is your thing, try doing something that gets your blood flowing, or at the very least enjoy some coffee and industry news to get your brain in action before diving into work. Whatever that one thing is that gets you going, just do it everyday!

Some great tips! I review books & films, as well as do some challenges and tags on my blog. I like to write out all my plans for blog posts, and schedule them on my calendar at home. I make sure to have a strict upload time to keep me organised too. These things can seem a little “intense” or maybe take the enjoyment away, but for me, I love being organised, so when I can write well, and schedule well, then I’m happy. If any of you lovely bloggers read this comment please do head on over to my blog (you just have to click my username) and give me a little ‘Follow’! 🙂
