How to figure out a way to achieve your goals and objectives when you don’t have the time to? Need a way to plan out what for say a week would look like but don’t want to spend any money on software or even anything? Can’t remember when your friends party is or even where?
You’re in luck cause this post is for you!
Usually people would say to get a planner from a store. Why not just create one for yourself? You will save up to 85% of what you spend to plan out what you need to do for a certain time period. Even the creator of KDS is doing it!
Here’s how it works:
STEP ONE: Don’t you go to a store and by the gosh darn thing! Not just yet! Instead of buying a really expensive planner, take the extra time, if you have it, to get a composition notebook for example. You usually can find one at a store for as low as 60 some cents! How crazy is that instead of buying one that costs about 10-25 TIMES as much?
STEP TWO: Now that you have a notebook, choose a planner format that you would want to create the planner with. Please note that what you choose WILL affect how to set it up.
Here are the formats to choose from that happen to be the most common:
2 Page Per Month: This is a very common type of planner format where it states exactly what it is, which is a month in two pages! Perfect if you want to see the entire year for instance while using the least amount of pages.
2 Page Per Week: The most common type of planning out there is a weekly format, where the planner happens to be more expanded than a monthly format. The way this usually works is where in just two pages an entire week is listed. The weekends for this type happen to be half the space of a weekday on the two pages, mainly because nothing too much goes on during those times unless you work during the weekend for instance.
1 Page Per Day: A planner that may be uncommon but works for certain people. It is branching off of the week to a daily format, basically one page per day. This is designed for people that happen to have busy schedules or even want to take notes on certain concepts that happen throughout the day. Weekends are half a page instead of one page because of what was said back in the weekly format.
2 Page Per Day: Now THIS is where things get crazy. This planner is specifically designed for the people trying to sell stuff or even the people that have schedules so crazy every day that a weekly or even a 1 page per day format just isn’t enough. This is branching off of the 1 page per day format because it is basically DOUBLE the amount of pages. Even the weekends have 2 pages per day! Who would want to use something like this though? Journalists, business men, writers, or even people who just want an expansion of the year. A HUGE expansion.
The best part about this kind of method instead of buying a planner is that you can mix and match the four formats described above. For example if you wanted to do a planner where it had the month listed yet you wanted room to write notes in it, use the monthly AND the 1 page per day formats together. That way you can be able to see how it works.
STEP THREE: Have fun with it! The rest is totally up to you for how you want to set it up and make use of it while adding in anything extra not mentioned in this post. Keep these tips in mind:
-Be sure to ALWAYS check back and to keep at it at least once a day.
-Don’t give up on it, even if you’re starting out.
-As time goes by, you’ll start to see everything add up as you keep going with it. Your goals and objectives WILL be met! It takes time, just like blogging!
-ALWAYS use pencil. Doesn’t just have to be that number two pencil. Can be mechanical or even colored! Make sure it erases though. That’s why you should always use pencil for ANY planner in case, for example, something were to happen with your appointment with your doctor.
-Always have the notebooks you need in stock and ready to go depending what format you use.
-Remember that this is a way to save UP TO 85% of what you would usually spend on a regular pre-made planner. BUT keep in mind as well that it will be more time consuming at first when starting off but you’ll get the hang of it eventually!
And the most important tip of all: TRY, CONQUER, ACHIEVE, REPEAT. Keep saying that to yourself and you’ll do fine.
With that being said, you’re on your way towards a better lifestyle, at least one step closer!
