She climbs over my toes working her slow way across my right foot with purpose and solutions.

She will feed her family back at the hill. She will carry her juicy leaf and wise message home.

She lowers her load off her back to the ground and eats a small portion to energize her steps.

She dances around the edges of her burden. Her ballet is nimble and to the music of small pieces of nature.

She slows her intricate choreography and kneels at the yellowing stem of her bundle.

She is gratitude. She is strength. She is industry. She is progress. She is forward motion.

She doesn’t see all she is. She doesn’t need to. She sees her long path home. And, that is enough.
