There are a lot many benefits, but in this post, I’ll just stop myself at seven.

1. Good listener: If she can read a book for hour’s all together, she would be more than interested to patiently listen to you.

2. Buying gifts for her is easy: Obviously, she would love a book; all you need to know is her favorite genre or author.

3. Good memory: This means she would remember all the important dates, including your mom’s birthday.

4. Curious: Anyone who enjoys reading is always interested in knowing or learning about something new.

5. Teach you things: Since she is well read, she obviously knows a thing or two that you don’t.

6. Fine spending time alone: All a reader needs is a good book and a nice and quiet place to read it.

7. She will encourage you to read: Which will not only increase your knowledge but is always better than watching some meaningless chick-flick together.

    1. 1. Ask her the kind of stories that she likes and purchase a novel that falls under that genre, it need not be a masterpiece. Share with her a bit of the plot and tell her that if she wants to know the rest she has to read herself.
      2. If she likes self-help books, present her one and tell her how reading it would help her.
      3. If you have children, ask her to read them a story.
      4. Magazines also contain interesting information and are a good place to inculcate the habit of reading.
      Hope this helps.

      1. We were even having the conversation today with her before I Left the house. This has come at the Best time.
        The conversations continue. Thanks
If she begins to read we move together

  4. “Buying gifts is easy”- THIS. Whenever friends and family ask what I want for my birthday or Christmas, I just give them the name of my favorite authors. From there, they could give me any book and I would be satisfied. It really saves the hassle!

    Thanks for sharing! 🙂
