Here are five amazing ways to increase blog trafficking, engage your readers, and enjoy blogging even more!

Social Media!

Join every social media available! Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, Bloglovin, Facebook, Pinterest, everything! Connect with readers and fellow bloggers online! Even just adding your blog link to your social media profiles will get you more clicks!

Engage with other blogs! Comment on posts you love and add your URL to the end of your comment! Just be sure to avoid the comments just promoting your blog! It is very annoying and quite honestly will not make it through the spam filter, or will just be deleted

Host a Giveaway!

Giveaways are great ways to promote your blog and keep your readers active! Simply buy something your readers will be interested in, write a post about it, tell them to share your post(providing you more exposure) and then randomly choose a winner! My suggestion would be to do the contest through Instagram or Twitter because it is much easier to keep track of who shared your post, plus you will reach a wider audience!

Don’t be Shy!

If you know a brand that you think would you would work well with, contact them! Don’t be shy! This is how I have made the majority of my business connections. Chances are, if you don’t contact the brand, they won’t contact you! Work out a deal with them. If you believe they have quality merchandise that you and your readers would appreciate, offer to write a post on the products if they will send them to you. It doesn’t hurt to ask!

Use the Right Tags!

Whether you are promoting your blog on WordPress or Instagram, or any other side for the matter, use appropriate tags! If you are writing about a new makeup product, tag it with things like #makeup, #beauty, etc… Things that will draw in the audience you are looking for! Be sure to avoid tags that aren’t relevant because it will just annoy potential readers.

  1. Thanks for the tips! I am new to blogging and new to social media (hard to believe these days, right?), so I am trying hard to make my presence known. I will definitely remember these tips (:

  2. These are great tips but I would add that joining every social media platform is only useful if you have the time to keep up on every one of them. I generally suggest that people pick two, whichever are most relevant to their brand, and start with those. Once they’ve got a handle on them, then they can add others as they see fit. I just see so many people with a ton of social media profiles and the same updates across all of them and people without the time to actively engage with the people following them. I’d prefer my clients pick two they can be active on then spread themselves too thin.

  3. Very useful tips!!!
The second to last one really gave me an idea! Now I would need to figure out how in the world I can do a review on products and such! I know that one day I WILL get to the place I want to get to which is to become someone who made history while having autism!

  4. Helpful tips!

I’m on the edge of making a twitter account or not! But I guess you are right, I don’t have to be shy!

If anyone wants to read, just click on my name! I’ll redirect to my writing blog and I’ll be more than happy to have you there!

  5. I wouldn’t reccomend necessarily putting your blog url at the end of a comment – if you’ve set up your wordpress account properly, your profile should have a link to your blog/s. Someone posting their url at the end of a comment doesn’t make me more likely to click on it – almost the opposite, actually.

  6. Wonderful post.. ? I am also new to blogging, prior to this I have always been a writer for myself..just writing on my journal only.. so, I am learning and putting my efforts..

  7. Thanks for the tips, this is really helpful. I was actually just thinking about how I could potentially generate more traffic and then I come across this (:

  8. Hi

I think you should also mention that commenting on other sites is good, but in your own site is also very important. In fact any author should care to reply to its readers.
