Daily motivation is something that we as people always are seeking to find. The big thing is, where do we find it to get through our day to day lives? Simply put, self motivation is a concept which is very much internal (hence self) but there is always going to be a direction to take. Here are a few things which you can try and apply today in order to find a bit more motivation for today.

Where you might think that people around you influence how you are motivated, you are the driving factor in your success; therefore you motivate yourself. Internally, we have to see where we are capable of anything and everything we set our minds to, without believing in ourselves, we cannot express anything to the world. Internal beliefs will give us the base for where our day is headed. If we know that today will be a day in which we can change the world, then by all means we will have that drive to make sure we do not let ourselves down.

Comparisons are a big factor in motivation. We always are trying to compare ourselves to others around us, which brings us down. The comparisons have to stop, and in the end, we will be able to focus on yourself and the goal that we have set. Throughout the day, there will be others around you which you will find almost instinctively you compare yourself to. Whether it is how they dress, the car they drive, their significant other, job title, whatever it may be, it happens. Moving past the comparisons will give you a push into what you can become. Something to think about is forgetting what the expectation might be, and focus on who you are. Everything else will come in time.

  1. I love this post. This is very true. It is a human nature to compare themselves to others even secretly. I have learned and pass this now that I’m getting a little bit older. I realized That staying true to yourself will lead you to the path where you need to go. It just takes time . Thank you for sharing. Very inspirational !

  2. True that the best motivation comes from within you, but this post is a reminder of how I can go about doing that. I must say that social media plays a big role in the comparison part. We believe what others say or show they have, which we are not even sure if it’s really theirs or if it’s true. but we cannot control what others choose to do, but we can control how we perceive it.

  3. I enjoyed reading this quick read. It encourages you to focus the mind on goals for the day without wasting time on negative comparisons. Self-motivation is the key to gaining self-respect and so important.
