“The most common way people give up their power
is by thinking they don’t have any.”
Alice Walker
I find this quote by Alice Walker quite thought-provoking, as well as a wake up call. I am sharing the quote along with my thoughts.
My ability to act must stay intact. I will remain a pillar of strength to all who know me. Those that don’t know me will soon behold what they’ve been told. I am me, myself and I. I AM what meets the eye.
To not do one wrong, I remain strong. I am a fortress, free from stress. I am stalwart and composing, loyal and resolute. There will be no reason to refute.
My persona a symbol of power, towering above all else. Let there never be the day that I give my power away. But, I will share. Why? Because I care. It’s not that I feel I must do a good deed.
I want to plant the seed. Yes indeed, I will empower those in need.
Cheers!

Thanks for sharing.
I have also met people that seem to know they have power but are so afraid of responsibility they hide from it. If we can just help them understand they just need to free that beast and life will improve! Great post, thanks!
Awesome!!
Inspirational, thanks!
You can say that again

Thank you. ?
I loved the quote. It is so true. So often we choose to believe what others tell us… We allow people to treat us wrong, believing that this is normal and that this is the way we should be treated. We allow ourselves to get discouraged even when we had tasted the success. That is why we need each other: those of us who are ready to spread the light, to share, to support, to encourage. We all have the inner Teacher within, yet we are often forget how overwhelmingly great this Power is.
Thank you and love your comment – so true.
I love your last line; what a powerful ending!

“The way to get rid of darkness is with light; the way to overcome cold is with heat; the way to overcome the negative thought is to substitute the good thought. Affirm the good, and the bad will vanish.”

The heading! Wow
It’s always amazing the seeds we’re capable of planting… Even when on the surface it looks like nothing changed. I used to work for a person who almost always, when something new or some kind of change was proposed, her immediate reaction was either no, or borderline hell no! After a couple days, she’d usually warm up to the ideas though. Those seeds just needed some time to take root. Patience is truly a virtue. Thanks for the article!
I am glad you enjoyed my post.
