If like me you sometimes struggle to get the creative juices flowing, it can quickly become very frustrating. There’s nothing worse than knowing you need to write something, but you can’t seem to put two words together. So here are three tips to help you get going again!
- Stop what you’re doing! Staring at a blank screen or sheet of paper for hours will not help at all. Get up and go do something active. Doing something physical will help you release some of that writers block frustration that we’re all familiar with. Go for a jog, or maybe try some yoga! Just something to help you unwind and relax. This will allow you to come back more focused, and with a clearer mind.
- Do anything creative! You may find that you’re struggling with writing, but your creative side is still in tact. It could also be the key to helping you get back to writing. Do something creative that you love. Work on a scrapbook, paint some pictures, or even build something! Not only will this help you to relax, but you could also find some inspiration for your writing!
- Don’t be so hard on yourself! While writers block is very frustrating, beating yourself up about it really wont help. Sometimes, sitting down and just writing about anything can help. Write whatever comes into your mind. Even if you think it makes no sense, or you keep changing topics, write it all down. This will help you let out your frustrations and keep writing!

nothing is worse than writers block. ugh 🙁 Thanks for the tips 🙂
Stop what you’re doing! Works for me all the time but I’m gonna try doing something creative as well from next time. Thanks!

Putting pressure on anything regardless of what it is, causes a block. It is of course a subconscious one and until we let go of the fear and energy block within, we will always have blocks in our life and mind.
Great Post!
I love your work!!! Please check out my site if you can get a chance!!! I would love some feedback…https://ratiowrites.com
Would love to get more people to my blog:)
I can definitely relate to this! I remember having writer’s block for a solid month and a half – it was torture! However, I oddly got out of it through gaining closure about a particular past event in my life, and the loss of the weight from my shoulders meant that words just flowed out!
Oh.. thanks for the tips! ?
Great little article on getting some much needed inspiration. Finding that creative spark can make a blog post come to life!
Thank you so much. I was going through this struggle now and this is the first few words that I wrote instead of my blog. So I guess its working 😀
