Hey, y’all!
I might sound a little country with a small accent, but I promise you awesome people are going to love the posts that I have for you. I thought before starting, it’d be appropriate to quickly introduce myself, just so you get a feel of who I am. Well…where do I start?
My name is Kenyona Copeland, I’m twenty-three and I’m young and obsessed with anything that revolves around love and motivating people to get up and be full of purpose. I live in New York and believe it or not, I do cherish my sleep haha (hope you’ve caught on to the joke)! Although it’s true that in Manhattan people never really sleep, I think it’s important to find a point where you can slow down and just rest if possible. But enough about me, here’s a little something for y’all!
Too many people wonder about their purpose…It’s like worse than having a nightmare, because you’re steadily worried about what your purpose is. And the crazy part is that it’s so easy to find out what your purpose is. Well, how would I know Kenyona? Whatever you find yourself doing the most of, that’s your purpose. If you’re constantly helping people, or writing books then your purpose is just that!
It’s so easy to lose confidence in who we are. I believe that just as much work as it takes to forget about someone we love, is equal to the same amount of work that it takes to live in purpose.
At times, I believe that when people hear or see the word “purpose” they think of “perfection” or “the-need-to-be-perfect”, which isn’t true. To have purpose can start at the beginning of many things; It’s all in how you choose to walk in it.
So, I have a simple exercise for those who are willing to participate. Everyone is welcome to join in, as I do condone it:
- Take five-ten minutes everyday to write down your goals (reachable ones).
- Tell yourself, “I am living purpose, and I will fulfill every goal on my list”.
- Keep the list close, and take small steps to work on checking everything off of the list. Take it one at a time.
- When you get one goal checked off, reward yourself and repeat the process.
Train yourself to always think positively about the things you can and will do! Don’t become distracted by what everyone else is doing, because I assure you nine times out of ten, their goals might be different than yours. Don’t compare. Just work on what you desire, then share the goal(s) that you’ve reached with me.
Talk with y’all, soon.
